A Walk to Remember
Commemorative Event Registration
Local PAIL Network Volunteers will host events across Ontario on Sunday June 1st, 2025 from 10 am – 12:30 pm (unless otherwise stated). Families will gather between 10 am – 10:30 am at a meeting spot from which the walk will begin and end. The 3-5 km walk will start at 10:30 am and will take approximately one hour. Following the walk, the community is welcome to stay for an informal gathering to honour our babies together.
Details of the walk location, including the address and meet up spots will be shared with registrants by email closer to the date. On the day of the event, registrants will meet a PAIL Network Volunteer on site to pick up their commemorative Walk to Remember flag (one per household) and stickers for everyone to personalize or write the names of the babies you are walking in honour of. (If there is not a Walk in your community, or you would prefer to walk alone or with close family and friends, there will an option to select “No location. I am walking in my own community”).

If you are interested in learning more about hosting a Walk to Remember in your community, please email suzie.oregan@sunnybrook.ca.
A social media post about the event will be made to our private Facebook Group at the time of the walk. This Walk to Remember thread will be a place for you to share photos as you are walking and connect with the several hundred other families who will be walking in this special event.
This private event will not facilitated by trained peer support volunteers and is not a substitute for group support. Families will be welcomed to share their grief with others on the walk if they would like but will not be expected or asked to share their story in a public forum.
If you are hosting an event with PAIL Network, or hosting an event to raise awareness for pregnancy and infant loss in Ontario, please send the details to pailnetwork@sunnybrook.ca. We'd be happy to list your event in our calendar.
