Compassionate Care Workshop – Cambridge

An open invitation to a FREE one day educational session for professionals who provide care, services, or support to bereaved parents and families during the loss of their pregnancy or infant.

Our Compassionate Care Workshop is a full day training session for people who provide professional care or services to families who may experience a pregnancy loss or the death of their baby.  The day covers many topics including grief, memory making, cultural safety, what to say/what not to say, pregnancy after loss, and family-centered care. We also aim to have a family panel in which families come and speak of their lived experience of loss.

• Morning Coffee and Lunch will be provided.
•

• If you are a professional who is breastfeeding, you are welcome to join us for the workshop however, we ask that you please exit the room for the duration of our family panel hour which happens after the lunch break. If you are planning on bringing your infant, please let us know in advance by e-mailing pailnetwork@sunnybrook.ca.
