We invite you to join us for a virtual candle lighting ceremony to bring awareness for Pregnancy and Infant Loss on Friday, October 15th, 2021.
People who have experienced any kind of baby loss, whether through miscarriage, stillborn or infant loss, live through this loss daily. Once a year, people worldwide gather together to bring comfort to one another, share their experiences and provide support. This Friday, October 15th, 2021, be a part of the continuous international Wave of Light shining worldwide at 7 pm.
October 15th is a day to remember our lost babies, those babies that we no longer have to hold in our aching arms. This is a day for anyone who is affected by any kind of child loss to come together and acknowledge all of those babies, to say their names and tell their story if they wish. This is a time where we don’t have to grieve in silence or in darkness. We can say our babies’ names with a smile AND with a tear if needed. No matter what, it’s a time to remember that even the littlest of footprints leave big imprints in this world, regardless of how long they were here for.
Whether you are a parent, a grandparent, a sibling or relative, or even just a friend, we welcome all of you to join together to bring a little bit of light into an otherwise very dark world.
…they say it takes a village to raise a baby… it would stand true that it would take a village to grieve a baby who didn’t make it home…
Wave of Light Event Details
Our ceremony will begin at 6:45 pm and officially end at 7:15 pm; however, all families are welcome to stay and watch the candles or leave a message to their babies and others in the PAIL community until 8:00 pm. The ceremony will be shared over Zoom and live-streamed on PAIL Network’s private Facebook group. Both platforms have no video or audio options for attendees, but we encourage you to use the chat feature however you join us.
