DESCRIPTION:Pregnancy and Infant Loss (PAIL) Network In Person Compassionate Care Workshop \n\nThis Virtual Compassionate Care Workshop is hosted by Niagara Health\, in Niagara\, ON. \nPriority registration is currently open to staff at Niagara Health.  Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates on if registration opens to other health and support professionals in the community\, or check back here in mid-March.  Please contact paileducation@sunnybrook.ca if you are interested in attending or hosting a workshop at your hospital or organization. \nThis educational session covers many topics\, including; attachment\, statistics\, grief\, loss experience (miscarriage\, stillbirth\, infant death\, loss of a multiple)\, memory making\, what to say/what not to say\, pregnancy after loss\, and caring for the caregiver. We also invite a panel of family members to answer questions about their lived experience with early pregnancy loss\, and what it means to receive compassionate care. Participants leave with ideas for providing compassionate supports and resources\, as well as practical skills\, tools\, and techniques to provide skilled care to grieving parents and families. \nPlease Note: \n\nPregnancy and Infant Loss Network offers FREE Compassionate Care Workshops to health and support professionals who are either employed by a government funded organization or who are members of a licensed\, regulated profession in Ontario (or students of these professions). Registering for this event confirms that you understand and meet these requirements. PAIL Network may cancel registration for those who do not meet these requirements.\nEach attendee must register separately. SUMMARY:Second Trimester Loss Online Support Group
DESCRIPTION:PAIL Network offers peer-led online support to all families across Ontario who have experienced a pregnancy loss\, an infant death or elective abortion.  Our team of trained volunteers provide support during scheduled online meetings that you can access on Zoom. These online groups connect families who share a similar experience of loss\, and these discussions are moderated by a peer support volunteer who also shares that experience. \nPlease complete a Request for Support Form if you are interested in joining this group. \nIf you have already completed a Request for Support Form but cannot locate your group’s log in details\, please contact pailsupport@sunnybrook.ca.
