DESCRIPTION:Pregnancy and Infant Loss (PAIL) Network In Person Compassionate Care Workshop \n\nThis Virtual Compassionate Care Workshop is hosted by Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. \nPriority registration is currently open to staff at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.  Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates on if registration opens to other health and support professionals in the community\, or check back here in mid-October.  Please contact paileducation@sunnybrook.ca if you are interested in attending or hosting a workshop at your hospital or organization. \nThis educational session covers many topics\, including; attachment\, statistics\, grief\, loss experience (miscarriage\, stillbirth\, infant death\, loss of a multiple)\, memory making\, what to say/what not to say\, pregnancy after loss\, and caring for the caregiver. We also invite a panel of family members to answer questions about their lived experience with early pregnancy loss\, and what it means to receive compassionate care. Participants leave with ideas for providing compassionate supports and resources\, as well as practical skills\, tools\, and techniques to provide skilled care to grieving parents and families. \nPlease Note: \n\nPregnancy and Infant Loss Network offers FREE Compassionate Care Workshops to health and support professionals who are either employed by a government funded organization or who are members of a licensed\, regulated profession in Ontario (or students of these professions). Registering for this event confirms that you understand and meet these requirements. DESCRIPTION:Pregnancy and Infant Loss (PAIL) Network In Person Compassionate Care Workshop \n\nThis In Person Compassionate Care Workshop is hosted by Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance in Stratford\, Ontario. \nPriority registration is currently open to staff at Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance – Stratford General Hospital.  Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates on if registration opens to other health and support professionals in the community\, or check back here in mid-September.  Please contact paileducation@sunnybrook.ca if you are interested in attending or hosting a workshop at your hospital or organization. \nThis educational session covers many topics\, including; attachment\, statistics\, grief\, loss experience (miscarriage\, stillbirth\, infant death\, loss of a multiple)\, memory making\, what to say/what not to say\, pregnancy after loss\, and caring for the caregiver. We also invite a panel of family members to answer questions about their lived experience with early pregnancy loss\, and what it means to receive compassionate care. Participants leave with ideas for providing compassionate supports and resources\, as well as practical skills\, tools\, and techniques to provide skilled care to grieving parents and families. \nPlease Note: \n\nPregnancy and Infant Loss Network offers FREE Compassionate Care Workshops to health and support professionals who are either employed by a government funded organization or who are members of a licensed\, regulated profession in Ontario (or students of these professions). Registering for this event confirms that you understand and meet these requirements.
