About Bill 141: The Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness, Research and Care Act
The Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness, Research and Care Act, 2015 passed on Tuesday, December 8th, 2015.
It is an Act to require research to be undertaken and programs to be developed for pregnancy loss and infant death and to proclaim October 15 as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.

October 6: Provincial Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, Hon. Eric Hoskins, announces $660,000 from the provincial budget will be directed to PAIL Network to allow the continued success of support and education programs offered, and to allow the growth of the services throughout the province.
February 25: Pregnancy and Infant Loss cause receives about $1 million to fund support services and to train volunteers in the 2016 Provincial budget 2016-2017 Budget
December 10: Bill 141 receives Royal Assent
December 8: Final vote on Bill 141 passed with unanimous support
December 7: Passed third reading
December 2: Meeting with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Women’s Issues representatives.

Has passed the clause by clause and will be moving on to 3rd reading on December 7th, 2015.
