Ontario Health: Virtual ED-Focused Compassionate Care Workshop
Our Compassionate Care Workshop is a full day training session for people who provide professional care or services to families who experience a pregnancy loss or the death of their baby. The session covers many topics including statistics, attachment, care considerations, grief, memory making, what to say/what not to say, pregnancy after loss, and family-centred care. We also include a family panel in which families come and speak of their lived experience of loss.
With manager approval, nurses working in an Emergency Department in Ontario are able to attend as a paid training day. Ontario Health will take care of reimbursing hospitals and organizations for staff participation.
