Burlington: Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day, Wave Of Light Ceremony

Overview:

Join us at the illuminated Brant St Pier Beacon for an International Wave Of Light ceremony to honour the babies we have lost though miscarriage, stillbirth, medical termination and infant death. Please bring a candle (battery operated seem to work best in October weather) to light at 7pm EST. Families participate in every time zone across the world at 7pm local time, creating a 24 hour Wave Of Light around the globe. We will gather at 6:45pm to give every person the opportunity to speak their baby’s (babies) name(s) or to simply say they are there to honour the baby they lost. There is no fee to attend and there is nothing to sell. Information for various free, ministry funded support services will be offered to families who inquire. Plenty of parking is available in the area -please be mindful of meter times and bylaws. Family, friends & children are all welcome. We ask that companion animals be left at home.
