Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day – PAIL Network Hosted In-Person Wave of Light Events

Join PAIL Network volunteers on October 15 in the following communities for a memorial ceremony and the International Wave of Light at 7 pm. Families participate in every time zone across the world at 7 pm local time, creating a 24 hour Wave Of Light around the globe.
PAIL Network volunteers will light a community candle during the ceremony to honour the babies we have lost though miscarriage, stillbirth, medical termination, abortion and infant death. People are encouraged to bring their own memorial candle to light, and any mementos, stuffed animals, blankets, etc., that help them feel close and connected to their baby’s memory. (Some indoor locations only allow flameless candles; please see below for details). Thank you for sharing your babies with us.

London: The Green (park) – 213-217 Wortley Rd (free parking at the YMCA SWO parking lot. Access lot from Marley street; limited street parking available on Wortley Rd. Meeting spot is near 217 Wortley Rd)
Markham: Evergreen Community Hospice – 5762 Highway 7 East, Suite 201 (elevator access to second floor)
Newmarket: Doane House Hospice – 17100 Yonge Street (inside; front entrance access)
Port Perry: Oak Ridges Hospice of Durham – 1722 Scugog Street (at the Gazebo)
Red Lake: Phil Thomas Vinet Centennial Park – 10 Hammell Road (at the Pergoda)
Sarnia: Riverbank & Co. – 172 Front St N (inside the store)

Toronto Downtown: CN Tower/Roundhouse Park – 255/236 Bremner Blvd (across from the CN tower; near the picnic tables/benches) *Ceremony will begin at 7pm; Illumination of the CN Tower will begin at 7:30 pm)*
Woodbridge/Vaughan: Civic Centre Resource Library – 2191 Major Mackenzie Drive (inside in the Yellow Room; *flameless LED candles only)
