October 15^th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day in Ontario. Every year over 37 000 families in Ontario experience this type of loss and too often, families suffer in silence.

The Thunder Bay Prenatal Coalition will be hosting a Wave of Light Ceremony at the Adelaide Street Butterfly Garden to recognize this important day and to show support to local families who have been affected by the loss of a pregnancy or the death of an infant.

The ceremony will take place on Sunday October 15^, 2023 between 6pm and 8pm at the Adelaide Butterfly Garden (located at the end of Adelaide St, across from the Boulevard Lake dam). Candle lighting takes place at 7pm.

We know that members of your organization have been deeply touched by infant loss through their work with families during the perinatal period.  You and your staff are invited to join us to show support for the bereaved parents, families and friends.

Given the sensitive nature of the occasion, we would like to offer families special support during the event if needed.
