Wave of Light – Kingston

October 15th is the internationally recognized Day of Remembrance for Pregnancy & Infant Loss. Each year all over the world, people remember and honour their angel babies by lighting a candle at 7pm for one full hour! Due to the different time zones across the globe, this creates a wave of light that circles the whole world! Uniting us all in our loss together

This year Angel’s Kiss will once again be sponsoring the Wave of Light Ceremony in Kingston, Ontario at Churchill Park. Event begins at 6pm, candle lighting begins promptly at 7:00 PM.

This is a FREE event!!! A beautiful goodbye to our babies! Candles will be provided, both flamed and flameless free of charge, for you to light in honour of your angel. If you choose to personalize and/or keep your candle we only ask that you leave a donation to help purchase new candles for next year. We do not receive funding, so this yearly event is supported strictly through donations by our wonderful participants, which are GREATLY appreciated!

This event is family-friendly, so bring your Sunshine and your Rainbow babies with you, everyone is welcome and wanted!

Schedule of events:
6:00 PM – meet and greet/“I remember” project – come on out a little early, let’s get to know each other! This year we have added a new element to the Wave of Light… the “I remember” project. An on-site photographer will be available to capture a photo of you remembering your baby, supplies for making signs (which you can take home) will be provided. Feel free to bring any momentos of your time with your baby, if you would like (pictures/ultrasound pictures, clothes, toys, urn, etc… whatever you feel comfortable bringing, or just bring yourself, that is okay too!) and Ashley from Snookums Photography will be there to capture your image.

7:00 PM – opening remarks & candle lighting – candles are free to use, if you would like to take your baby’s candle home as a momento (we will have markers there to personalize) we ask that you leave a donation.

8:00 PM – closing remarks

We ask that, if possible, participants RSVP by October 13th by using the Facebook link or by e-mailing angels-kiss@hotmail.ca, so that we can ensure that we have enough candles and photo project supplies to represent all the beautiful souls we need and want to honour! If you have not RSVP’d by the deadline, don’t worry we try to have extras of everything, so please just come on out!
